WHAT IS AN AUTHORIZATION TO RETURN TO CANADA ?
It is a written permission of a Canadian immigration officer to allow you to enter Canada after you have been the subject of a removal order. It depends on the type of removal order that was issued.
CAN I COME BACK TO CANADA AFTER BEING DEPORTED ?
In some cases, you can come back to Canada after being deported, without an authorization. For some other cases, you might need an authorization to return to Canada.
The factors to determine if you need to apply for the authorization to return to Canada includes but not limited to:

• why you want to come back to Canada,

REMOVAL ORDER TYPES
There are 3 types of removal orders in Canada:

• DEPORTATION ORDER: If you have been the subject of an order of deportation, you need to apply for an ARC.
• EXCLUSION ORDER: if you have been the subject of exclusion order and you wish to return to Canada less than 12 months after the order of exclusion was issued, OR you do not have a Certificate of Departure, you need to apply for an ARC.
• DEPARTURE ORDER: If you have been the subject of a departure order and you left Canada without verifying your departure with an officer, OR more than 30 days after the order of departure, the departure order automatically becomes a deportation order, and you need to apply for an ARC.

CRIMINAL INADMISSIBILITY:

HOW TO APPLY FOR AUTHORIZATION TO RETURN TO CANADA
The application for an Authorization to return to Canada (ARC) is usually submitted with the application of the visa or the permit. The citizens of visa exempt countries should submit application for visa or permit along with the authorization to return to Canada.
