New measures for the Québec Experience Program and the Regular Skilled Worker Program
- Since October 31, 2024, it is no longer possible to submit new applications under the Québec graduate stream of the Québec Experience Program.- The Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration will not issue, invitations to submit an application for permanent selection under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) or under the Skilled Worker Selection Program (SWSP), which will replace it as of November 29, 2024.
- Both of these measures are in effect until June 30, 2025 at the latest, that is, until the next pluri-annual immigration planning orientations are known.
CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS - EXPRESS ENTRY CANADA
Canada Experience Class CEC is managed through the Express entry system. You must make sure to be eligible to apply under the CEC class before submitting your profile into the pool of Express Entry.CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements to apply under the Canadian Experience CEC class:
- Have worked in Canada for at least 1 year (within last 3 years) of skilled work experience that meets the descriptions TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories.
- Meet the minimum Canadian Language requirements (CLB 7 for TEER 0 or TEER 1 jobs or CLB 5 for TEER 2 or TEER 3 jobs)
Skilled work experience means work experienced gained in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories:
- Managerial jobs (TEER 0)
- Professional jobs (TEER 1)
- Technical jobs and skilled trades (TEER 2 and TEER 3)
You can meet the one year of skilled work experience in Canada in different ways:
- Full-time at one job: 30 hours/week for 12 months (1,560 hours)
- Equal amount in part-time work: for example, 15 hours/week for 24 months
