RESUMPTION OF CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

Resuming Canadian citizenship is a process that allows former citizens to regain their status.
WHAT IS RESUMPTION OF CITIZENSHIP ?
Resuming citizenship allows a person who has previously renounced or lost their Canadian citizenship for other reasons to regain it. This usually involves submitting a new application.

  2. Have become a permanent resident of Canada after losing your Canadian citizenship.
  3. Meet all the conditions attached to your permanent resident status.
  4. Have been physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for at least 365 days in the two years preceding your application.
