If you are an international student and you find yourself in a difficult financial situation (unable to cover your living and studies expenses ..) due to circumstances beyond your control, you may apply for a short term open work permit.
OPEN WORK PERMIT FOR HOLDERS OF TEMPORARY RESIDENT PERMIT (TRP)
If you are a holder of a temporary resident permit (TRP) and you will be in Canada for more than 6 months and you do not have financial means or support you may apply for an open work permit. The validity of the issued open work permit will be the same as the validity of your current temporary resident permit (TRP).
OPEN WORK PERMIT FOR SUBJECT UNDER REMOVAL ORDER
foreign nationals who are in Canada and are subject to an unenforceable removal order and do not have financial means or support can apply for an open work authorization.
