PEQ IMMIGRATION STREAM FOR GRADUATES
New measures for the Québec Experience Program and the Regular Skilled Worker Program
- Since October 31, 2024, it is no longer possible to submit new applications under the Québec graduate stream of the Québec Experience Program.- The Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration will not issue, invitations to submit an application for permanent selection under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) or under the Skilled Worker Selection Program (SWSP), which will replace it as of November 29, 2024.
- Both of these measures are in effect until June 30, 2025 at the latest, that is, until the next pluri-annual immigration planning orientations are known.
The Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) - Immigration Stream for Graduates is tailored for international students who have recently obtained an eligible diploma in Quebec. This program enables graduates to quickly integrate into the workforce and become permanent residents.
Eligibility criteria PEQ stream for graduates
- Hold an eligible diploma from a recognized institution in Quebec, obtained in the 36 months prior to submitting your application ;
- Have completed an eligible diploma of study full time in French ( at least 75% of courses or credits have been completed in French);
- Have resided in Quebec for at least half of the duration of their studies.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of spoken French level 7 of the Québec scale of French proficiency levels (B2);
- Demonstrate knowledge of written French level 5 of the Québec scale of French proficiency levels.
Your common-law partner or spouse must have a knowledge of spoken French that corresponds to a level 4 on the Québec scale of French proficiency levels.
Eligible diplomas PEQ graduates
- Bachelor's degree (university undergraduate)
- Master's degree (including an MBA)
- Ph.D.
- Diploma of college studies, technical training (DCS)
- Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) attesting to 1,800 hours or more of study
- Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) followed by an Attestation of vocational specialization (AVS) of 1,800 hours or more of continuing education leading to a given trade
