Quebec Immigration Pilot Programs
Quebec Immigration Pilot Programs were created to meet the specific needs of certain key sectors. Currently, there are 3 Quebec immigration pilot programs:
  • Immigration pilot program for workers in food processing
  • Immigration pilot program for orderlies
  • Immigration pilot program for workers in the artificial intelligence, information technologies and visual effects sectors
Immigration pilot program for workers in food processing
To be eligible for the pilot program for workers in the Food Processing, you must:
  • Have obtained a diploma equivalent to at least a Secondary School Diploma (DES) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) from Quebec, with a minimum of 1 year of full-time studies;
  • Have accumulated at least 24 months of full-time work experience in an eligible sector in Quebec within the last 36 months;
  • Hold a full-time eligible job in an eligible sector in Quebec;
  • Have a spoken knowledge of French of level 7 and according to the Québec scale of French proficiency levels or its equivalent.
Eligible sectors:
NAICS 311 – Food Manufacturing
NAICS 3121 – Beverage Manufacturing
Immigration pilot program for orderlies
The immigration Pilot Program for orderlies have two streams:
  • Work Stream
  • Study-Work Stream
To be eligible for the Orderlies immigration Pilot Program, you must:
  • Hold a job as a patient service associate in Quebec ;
  • Have a diploma related to the profession of a patient service associate, with a duration of at least 1 year, and equivalent to at least a DVS from Quebec;
  • Have gained the following work experience:
    • At least 24 months as a patient service associate in Quebec, OR
    • At least 12 months in a basic healthcare professional outside Quebec, plus at least 12 months as a patient service associate in Quebec, within the last 36 months.
  • Have knowledge of spoken French proficiency level 7 according to the Québec scale of French proficiency levels or its equivalent.
Conditions for the Study-Work Stream
To be eligible for this stream, you must:
  • Have obtained a Québec Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) leading to the occupation of patient service associates in the 24 months ;
  • Have at least 12 months of work experience as a patient service associate in Quebec, gained during the last 24 months.
Pilot Program for Workers in Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Visual Effects
This pilot program is designed for foreign workers or graduates from Quebec in artificial intelligence, as well as foreign workers in information technology and visual effects.
This program includes two streams:
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Information Technology and Visual Effects, including video games
