Humanitarian and compassionate grounds apply to people with exceptional cases. You may ask for humanitarian and compassionate grounds from within Canada, or from abroad if you have humanitarian compassionate compelling grounds.

The Canadian Temporary resident permit TRP is a special permit issued in exceptional circumstances to inadmissible applicants. It allows the holder either to enter Canada or to remain in Canada. If the TRP is valid for at least six months, you may apply for a work and/or study permit.

With some exceptions, if you have been the subject of a removal order from Canada, you will probably need an authorization to return to Canada ARC. There are many factors to take in consideration before determining if you need to apply for the authorization to return to Canada ARC.

Persons in Canada who are subject to a removal order may apply for protection. This is called pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA). Except for Port of Entry and Subsequent PRRAs, persons must first be notified by the CBSA of their entitlement to apply.
